DeWalt is my power tool brand of preference because its wares typically hit a nice balance between performance and value. Also, I like yellow. You might start liking it too when you see how cheaply Amazon’s unloading DeWalt stuff on Prime Days. A ratchet set for $49.71 certainly looks like a steal, but personally, I’m going for the brushless angle grinder that’s discounted by over $100.
You can find that cheap set of ratchets and sockets right here—an 84-piece kit would get you started, or make a great gift for the young buck in your life. If you’re going to be doing any real wrenching, though, I’d recommend bumping the budget and getting this 200-piece set with three different socket sizes. That gets you a lot more versatility and is still a bargain at 22% off.
Another item just about anybody could use is this wet/dry vac. It can run on a DeWalt battery (sold separately) or off a wall plug. That’s a neat trick since vacuums use a lot of power and can burn up a lot of the batteries that you might rather have in place on your tools.
Need an even bigger vacuum for your shop? If you don’t mind running a cord all the time, check out the five-gallon DeWalt Stealthsonic in cool chrome, which is knocked down to $135 with a 20% Amazon Prime Days discount. The even larger six-gallon unit is only $3 (not a typo) more right now, too.
Finally, for those of you who might be looking to dabble in metalwork, check out the screaming deal on this brushless angle grinder—this is over $100 off list price! You can find a DeWalt non-brushless version for even less, but brushless tools pay you back with increased efficiency, a longer lifespan, and better performance. This would be worth the extra $40 over the base model. I’ve been eyeing one of these myself and I think this might be my inspiration to pounce.
There’s one other big DeWalt discount I’ll call out before we move on: This drill and impact driver combo with two batteries, a charger, and a bag for just $129 (50% off!) This is a score even if you just keep the batteries and gift the tools to a friend.
