Two ultra-bespoke projects, both brought to life by the new “special vehicles” division of the Gordon Murray Group (GMG), will bow at this year’s The Quail—A Motorsport Gathering event that takes place in the middle of Monterey Car Week.

The event has become the place for the unveiling of ultra-high-end vehicles in the past, and the two new rides from GMSV (Gordon Murray Special Vehicles) will be the latest. According to the announcement, which was rather sparse, the first car is a bespoke commission from a customer with extra deep pockets, while the second one hails from the GMSV team—no customer input needed. No details were provided on powertrains, output, cost, or anything like that; we’ll have to wait until the wraps come off in August for the juicy stuff.

“We are excited to offer customers the opportunity to create the bespoke supercar of their dreams with the GMSV design and engineering teams,” said Phillip Lee, CEO of the Gordon Murray Group. Expect the latter of the two vehicles to serve as a rolling showcase of the team’s capabilities. Perhaps they’ll even scoop a few more customers at The Quail.

Recall that GMG is the firm behind the T.50, a bonkers, V-12-powered supercar that many equate to the spiritual successor of the McLaren F1, which was perhaps Murray’s greatest work. The announcement on the two bespoke cars also noted that production for customer-bound T.50s is nearing its end, with all 100 cars now spoken for.

With a busy summer ahead, including a celebration of 60 years of car design for Murray taking place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, the company is also revising its launch timeline for the newer T.33, which also uses a V-12—albeit a slightly detuned version relative to the T.50. The T.33 launch will slide back “to fall after the peaks of summertime activity,” according to the release, so we’d expect that to mean after the unveiling of these two GMSV vehicles in August.

Very cool cars. Wish I could see them in person someday.
