Honda NSX values have hit the stratosphere and soon every owner will be able to keep their cherished JDM supercar in top condition thanks to a new supply of parts from Japan.

“With the advancement of technologies such as remanufacturing and 3-D printing, the range of possibilities for new manufacturing and procurement methods for the continued supply of parts is expanding,” says Honda. “In light of these efforts and background, Honda has decided to adopt parts that meet quality standards in terms of function and performance as ‘genuine compatible parts’ and supply them globally.”

Honda hasn’t stated exactly which components will be available, promising further information in the fall, but did add that parts will be on sale in early 2026. Customers in Japan will also be able to take advantage of a new restoration service for the first-generation NSX which will use the new components.

What’s more, Honda says that the NSX will be just the first in its back catalog to benefit from the new manufacturing tech, and resto program, with “other sports-type models” to follow. The Integra Type R will surely be on that list, given how that car has also long been a bona-fide collectible, with one example achieving over $150,000 at auction in 2023. Meanwhile, the S2000 is also a likely candidate, with prices on the up, and cars in excellent condition being valued north of $40,000.

Honda’s support of its enthusiasts follows Toyota, with its GR Heritage Parts scheme that provides parts for the AE86, Supra and Land Cruiser, Nissan’s Nismo Heritage Parts for classic GT-Rs, and Mazda’s in-house parts and restoration program for the Miata.

There’s never been a better time to run a Japanese classic.

I hope they do better than Toyota. The supply of parts we need has been poor from Toyota for the Supra.
