A triple header sequence of races reaches its final stop this weekend as Formula 1 moves on to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix. Lando Norris took victory last time out in Monaco, but can McLaren repeat this success or will one of their competitors emerge triumphant this time around? Here are what the odds tell us…

Oscar Piastri missed out on claiming a fifth Grand Prix win of the season in Monte Carlo, with the Australian having to settle for P3 while team mate Norris made his return to the top step of the podium. Despite this, Piastri remains in the lead of the championship by just three points and is tipped as most likely to take victory in Barcelona.
Norris is hot on his tail in the odds, while Max Verstappen is not far behind. The Red Bull man has enjoyed plenty of success at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the past, with the track being the scene of his debut F1 win back in 2016.

Unsurprisingly, the McLaren pair are ranked as highly likely to stand on the rostrum this weekend, as is Verstappen, but who else is in with a shot of a top-three result? George Russell has decent odds, the Mercedes driver having claimed four podiums so far in 2025, but the Silver Arrows will be focused on recovering from a tough Monaco this weekend.
Another name favoured for a rostrum is Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque could not repeat his memorable 2024 victory at his home event this year, yet still managed to clinch a season-best result of P2. Can he continue that momentum in Spain?

Alongside those aforementioned drivers, some other big names will be looking to cross the line within the top six in Barcelona. One of those will be Lewis Hamilton, who ended the last two races of the triple header in fourth and fifth respectively and will be keen to extend that pattern.
Kimi Antonelli, meanwhile, experienced the opposite in Imola and Monaco, having recorded a DNF and P18 in those events. The Mercedes rookie has five top-six finishes under his belt from earlier in the season, but can he add another one to his tally this weekend?

Yuki Tsunoda will be looking to return to the top 10 in Barcelona, the Red Bull driver having faced a tough Monaco weekend in which he finished down the order in P17. Those who experienced better fortunes in Monte Carlo – including the Williams pair of Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz – arrive into the event also hoping to bolster their points tally further.
Monaco proved to be especially fruitful for Racing Bulls, who executed their strategy well in order to get both Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson into points-paying positions. Can they repeat that success at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya?

A solid run of points finishes for Sainz and Albon has helped Williams to hold fifth place in the Teams' standings
The polesitter has won five out of the eight Grands Prix so far in 2025 – but that did not prove to be the case at the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, which saw Verstappen beat Norris to victory despite the McLaren driver lining up in P1 on the grid.
This weekend it is Piastri who is tipped as favourite to go quickest in Qualifying, the Australian having claimed three pole positions during the season to date. Monaco polesitter Norris is not far behind in the odds, though.

It is perhaps no surprise to see McLaren leading the way here, the Woking-based squad having further strengthened their lead at the top of the Teams’ Championship with their 1-3 result last time out in Monaco.
However, the papaya outfit have not won in Barcelona since Kimi Raikkonen took victory back in 2005, with Red Bull and Mercedes have proven the dominant force in recent years. All of these wins have come courtesy of Verstappen and Hamilton, but the former’s team have stronger odds in terms of their victory chances this weekend.
