Ypsilon HF Racing is aimed as an entry-level product underneath its Ypsilon HF Rally4 offering

Lancia has launched a “Rally6” variant of its Ypsilon HF, badged the Ypsilon HF Racing, joining its rally car lineup alongside the Rally4 it debuted earlier this year.
It becomes the third manufacturer to launch such a car matching French FR6 regulations, following on from similar vehicles from sister brand Peugeot with its 208 and Renault with its Clio Rally6.
Both the Ypsilon HF Rally4 and Ypsilon HF Racing share exactly the same chassis but, with cost-effectiveness in mind, the mechanical elements of the latter car are cheaper and simpler.
A 1.2-liter engine packing 145bhp sits in the FR6-spec car (by comparison, the Rally4 outputs 212bhp) is mated to a five-speed SADEV gearbox, with Öhlins dampers fitted. The brakes are also smaller: the Ypsilon HF Racing features 302mm front rotors compared to the 330mm ventilated discs on the Rally4.

But importantly the cost is almost half that of the Rally4 variant: while Lancia’s larger rally car comes in at €74,500, the entry-level car retails at €38,900 before VAT while still featuring an FIA-homologated rollcage and safety components.
Initial orders are scheduled to be fulfilled post-summer 2025.
